Job summary

U-Haul in Hampton, VA is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers, manage rentals with U-Scan, and inspect equipment on the lot. The role supports a friendly team focused on service excellence and on-the-job education.

The position pays $12.00–$13.00 hourly, requires a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent, and offers potential bonuses and opportunities for advancement. On-site work with training provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience desirable.
• Ability to work with customers in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered) with employment.
• Drive a forklift (certification offered) with employment.
• Other duties as assigned.
