Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Paterson, NJ. You will be the face of our service, assisting customers, managing rentals with U-Scan tech, and ensuring equipment is inspected and ready for use.

This role includes on-the-job education, opportunities for advancement, and a competitive hourly wage. A $100 hiring bonus is offered, with a $300 bonus after completing certification steps at retail stores.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and drive a forklift (certifications offered on employment).
• Participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
