Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in New Jersey to be the face of our stores, helping customers with rentals, equipment inspections, and essential service needs. You will use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, move and hook up trucks, and ensure equipment is clean and ready.

You’ll educate customers about products, prepare invoices, and handle returns. Training for propane filling and forklift operation is offered on the job, with opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift operation (certifications offered).
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Participate in U-Haul University training.
