Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a friendly Customer Service Representative in Washington, DC to be the face of our service, helping customers with rentals, equipment inspections, and product knowledge. You will use U-Scan technology to dispatch and return equipment, assist with loading and hitch installations, and maintain safety and cleanliness across the lot.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot, including fluid checks.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring; propane fills and forklift operation (certifications offered).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
