Job summary

U-Haul is looking for a friendly Customer Service Representative to be the face of our service team in the Springfield area. You will help customers with rentals and equipment needs, using our U-Scan system to manage inventory and invoices.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, educating customers, and completing safety checks. The role offers on-the-job education, plus bonuses and benefits as part of U-Haul’s employee programs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• On-the-job education and training provided by U-Haul.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
