Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Richmond, VA to greet customers, assist with rentals, and coordinate equipment from our locations. The role involves inspecting and maintaining equipment and using mobile tech to dispatch and manage inventory.

Training is provided on the job, with opportunities to grow within the company. You will be part of a supportive team, focusing on delivering exceptional service and ensuring customers receive needed assistance during their journeys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• On-the-job training for propane and forklift operations offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with U-Haul products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns of equipment.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
