Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Lynchburg, VA. You will be the face of our exceptional service, assisting customers with rentals, inspecting equipment, and guiding them on our U-Scan platform to manage inventory.

The role includes lifting and hooking up trucks, answering questions, and processing invoices. Training is provided through U-Haul University, with opportunities for growth and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to move and inspect equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
