Position Overview

A Penske Customer Service Coordinator focuses on working with customers to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage shop work plans.

Location

This position is located at the Penske facility at 3828 Broadway, Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop workforce plans considering customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills to maximize service and productivity.
  2. Communicate with customers regarding maintenance updates, schedule changes, billing, and service issues.
  3. Maintain rental units and ensure parts availability.
  4. Hold vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  6. Optimize shop productivity through effective work planning.
  7. Coordinate with billing personnel as needed.
  8. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • At least 1 year of mechanical hands-on experience.
  • Supervisory experience and service department administration experience are preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
  • ASE certification and experience with service scheduling and diagnostic programs are preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety and operational policies, including DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Regular attendance, willingness to travel, and passing background checks required.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, and sitting.
  • Use of hands for operating tools and controls.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
