Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age; 19 in Idaho/Alaska if selling tobacco.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends regularly, any shift, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks/projects.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and structure.
• Related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to provide excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Promote and follow Company initiatives.
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated or removed at point of sale.
• Respond to EAS pedestal activations and verify tag removal as necessary.
• Maintain all store accounting functions; prepare bank deposits of excess funds.
• Open/close the customer service desk; process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay, gift cards, POs, rentals.
