Job summary

Food Lion stores need friendly, customer-oriented associates to provide fast, accurate service at the front end. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments, bag groceries, and help maintain clean, organized front-end areas.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift regularly. Training, safety procedures, and company policies will be provided to ensure excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and cashier responsibilities.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Must meet minimum age requirements for function.
• Ability to operate cash register and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and greet them by name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and assist with bagging.
• Handle payments and follow standard cash procedures.
• Maintain neat, clean work area and observe safety guidelines.
• Report register malfunctions and ensure MVP kiosk is stocked and functional.
• Complete CBT and training aids as required and follow company policies.
