Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and support customers through checkout and bagging operations. You will greet customers, process transactions, and assist with basic store duties while maintaining a neat front-end area.

The role emphasizes courtesy, accuracy, and adherence to store procedures. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift light items, and work with the daily cash register workflow on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Scan orders and handle the payment transaction per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds, cash handling and security.
• Maintain neat, clean work station and wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge.
