Job summary

The Merrimack is seeking a Customer Service Banker at our Bow, NH branch. This role focuses on greeting customers, handling everyday banking needs, and guiding clients to suitable products and services.

You will support customers and help connect them with the right offerings in a friendly, community-focused environment. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, basic cash handling experience, and the ability to work rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Experience utilizing software applications to perform customer service duties.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to travel between branch locations as needed.
• Prior bank teller transaction knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of banking products and services and promote them to customers.
• Demonstrate openness to switch between teller and customer service positions as needed.
• Complete deposits/withdrawals, account openings and maintenance activities.
• Provide a professional customer service experience while obtaining new business referrals.
• Respond to questions and resolve customer problems effectively and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a working knowledge of banking products and services while promoting them to the customer
• Demonstrate an openness and willingness to switch between the teller and customer service positions as the needs arise
• Complete individual and business account deposit/withdrawal transactions, account opening and maintenance activities including checking, savings and time deposits
• Provide a professional customer service experience while obtaining new business opportunity referrals through needs based inquiry
• Responds to questions and resolve problems or concerns for customers effectively and efficiently

Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a branch environment and requires regular standing and movement, visual and manual dexterity to operate office equipment, occasional handling of up to 40 pounds, and some bending and lifting. Independent travel to other branches or locations may be required.
