Job summary

The Merrimack is seeking a full-time Bank Teller at our Bow, NH branch, with the ability to float to nearby locations such as Henniker and Contoocook. You will provide friendly service, process transactions accurately, and support customers with banking solutions.

Starting pay begins at $20.00 per hour and is negotiable based on experience. A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO and tuition reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior cash handling or teller/customer service is preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and math abilities.
• Confidentiality and accuracy are essential in this role.
• Basic experience with banking software and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous in-person, phone, and email service.
• Process teller transactions accurately and balance when needed.
• Identify customer needs and promote banking products.
• Follow policies, security practices, and regulations.
• Monitor for potential fraud and keep area organized.

The Merrimack is seeking a full-time Bank Teller at our branch inBow, NH, with the flexibility to float to other nearby locations, including Henniker and Contoocook, as needed. In this role, you'll provide friendly, accurate service while processing transactions, supporting customer needs, and helping promote banking solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Provide courteous service to customers in person, by phone, and by email
• Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and balancing standards
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and services
• Follow bank policies, procedures, security practices, and applicable regulations
• Stay alert to potential fraud and support a clean, organized teller area
• Complete required training and perform other duties as requested

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and basic math skills
• Professional, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy
• Intermediate use of desktop applications and standard office equipment
• Ability to work full-time, including rotating Saturdays, and float to other local branches as needed to support business demands

Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a branch environment and requires regular standing and movement, visual and manual dexterity to operate office equipment, occasional handling of up to 40 pounds, and some bending and lifting. Independent travel to other branches or locations may be required.
