Job summary

The Merrimack is seeking a full-time Bank Teller at our Bow, NH branch, with the flexibility to float to other nearby locations including Henniker and Contoocook. You’ll process transactions, assist customers, and promote banking products while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Starting pay begins at $20.00 per hour and is negotiable based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to customers in person, by phone, and by email.
• Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and balancing standards.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and services.
• Follow bank policies, procedures, security practices, and applicable regulations.
• Stay alert to potential fraud and support a clean, organized teller area.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as requested.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy
• Intermediate use of desktop applications and standard office equipment
• Ability to work full-time, including rotating Saturdays, and float to other local branches as needed to support business demands

Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a branch environment and requires regular standing and movement, visual and manual dexterity to operate office equipment, occasional handling of up to 40 pounds, and some bending and lifting. Independent travel to other branches or locations may be required.
