Customer Service Associate - Temporary at Walgreens

Pay: $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr (temp)

Job Overview

This temporary position is for a Customer Service Associate who will deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience at Walgreens. The role involves sales and checkout operations, store maintenance, and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the cash register, provide courteous and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions.
• Recommend items, trade‑ups, and companion items.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters and shelves clean, merchandised, and take inventory.
• Check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
• Implement asset‑protection procedures and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays and promotional signage.
• Assist with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Use store systems and equipment proficiently.
• Provide customer service for photo services.
• Assist with web pick‑up responsibilities.
• Help maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
• Follow company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete required PPLs as directed by managers.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
