Base Pay Range
$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Models and shares customer‑service best practices with all team members.
- Recommends items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items.
- Registers sales on assigned cash register and processes voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
- Collects cash, distributes change, and manages cash handling procedures.
- Maintains counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and records merchandise information; checks in and prices merchandise as required.
- Implements asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
- Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, and super‑structure displays; completes resets and revisions.
- Assists with food‑item separation, stock rotation using FIFO, and restock checks.
- Has working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area (digital passport, poster print, creative machine, and promotional photo products).
- Assumes web‑pick‑up responsibilities by monitoring orders and delivering them to customers on arrival.
- Assists with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly store appearance.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes special assignments and tasks as assigned.
Training and Development
- Attends training and completes Product and Pharmacy Licensing (PPL) as requested by the manager or designated by corporate.
Qualifications
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
- Preferred: six months retail experience.
- Preferred: prior experience with Walgreens.
