This role offers a base pay range of $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr and is based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on the assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products, resolving issues, and answering questions.
- Share customer service best practices with team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, and identifying needs.
- Provide fast and efficient service, recommend items, trade-up and companion items.
- Process sales transactions including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and keep accurate records.
- Check in and price merchandise as required by store manager or shift leader.
- Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws on regulated products.
- Construct and maintain displays for promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
- Assist with separation of food items, product placement, stock rotation (FIFO), and restock outs.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo, poster print, machine) and suggest promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver to customers).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prior work experience with Walgreens.
