Job summary

Job description

This role offers a base pay range of $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr and is based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, and identifying needs.
• Provide fast and efficient service, recommend items, trade-up and companion items.
• Process sales transactions including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and keep accurate records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required by store manager or shift leader.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws on regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays for promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with separation of food items, product placement, stock rotation (FIFO), and restock outs.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo, poster print, machine) and suggest promotional photo products.
• Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver to customers).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager or assigned by corporate.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
