Base Pay Range
$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members.
- Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items.
- Process customer purchases on the cash register, collect cash, distribute change, and handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
- Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies; perform stock rotation using FIFO for consumable items.
- Maintain working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster printing, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver to customers as they arrive).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by management or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
