Job description

Customer Experience

  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).

Operations

  • Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
  • Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
  • Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Maintains counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures merchandise is well displayed and correctly priced.
  • Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
  • Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
  • Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
  • Assists with food product placement and stock rotation following safety and company policies.
  • Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
  • Provides photo services, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
  • Manages web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Follows all policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
  • Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.

Training & Personal Development

  • Attends training sessions and completes required PPLs as directed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of retail experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Walgreens preferred.
