Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Knoxville, IA is looking for a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

This role requires friendly interpersonal skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and reliability. Prior retail or customer service is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing, walking, and stocking tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professionals and customers.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
