Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our Decorah location. You will assist customers with questions, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and orderly.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Part-time schedule with opportunities for growth and involvement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
