Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Northwood, IA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, manage sales transactions at the register, stock shelves, and help unload trucks to keep aisles tidy and inviting.

This part-time role requires strong customer service, reliable communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You’ll work with teammates to maintain a safe, friendly store environment and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked.
• Recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks.
• Stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
