Job summary

Family Dollar in Cooper, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a welcoming shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and handle transactions at the register.

You will help keep shelves stocked, unload shipments, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure a safe, friendly environment. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; applicants must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or service experience in customer-facing role preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking/standing tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and a safe, welcoming store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
