Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience. The role involves assisting customers, handling sales transactions, maintaining cash security, stocking merchandise, and supporting unloading and replenishment activities.

The position emphasizes excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity at our Harrisburg, IL location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
