Job summary

Kroger in Marana, AZ is seeking a part-time Front End Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a smooth checkout area. You will greet customers, assist with locating items, and resolve questions to encourage loyalty.

You will help manage front-end operations, uphold safety standards, and train colleagues on policies, ensuring accurate transactions and compliance with store procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math abilities for transactions and balancing.
• Good judgment and a team player attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by demonstrating sincerity, patience and respect in all customer interactions and by thanking customers for their business
• Greet customers and assist them by escorting to products and helping with item retrieval
• Anticipate customer needs and resolve questions to strengthen loyalty
• Oversee front end operations to meet sales, profit and labor goals with cost control and shrink reduction
• Set work priorities to maintain front end conditions
• Ensure prompt, accurate checkout and policy adherence
• Train and coach associates on front end policies and procedures
• Communicate pricing/discrepancies to pricing coordinator
• Provide back-up coverage for service operations manager in absence
• Understand checkout transactions policies, perform voids/refunds, audits
