The role emphasizes customer service, ability to learn new software, and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. A high school diploma is required, and experience in shipping centers is a plus.

PostNet – 1337 W 43rd St, Ste B, Oak Forest, Houston, TX

Pay: $16.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Type: Full-Time | 35–40 hours per week

Schedule: Five days per week within our operating hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. Saturday availability is required. Employees working Saturday receive a weekday off.

About The Position

PostNet in Oak Forest is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Customer Service and Shipping Associate to join our team.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing position focused on helping customers with shipping, packaging, mailbox services, and other business needs. You'll work directly with customers throughout the day, helping them understand their options and recommending solutions based on their needs.

The ideal candidate has strong customer-service and computer skills, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable learning new systems and processes.

Previous experience in a shipping center, print or copy center, office-services business, or similar customer-service environment is preferred but not required.

Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, or other Adobe products is also a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, professional service to customers in person, by phone, and by email.

• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages for mailbox customers.
• Assist customers with mailbox and other PostNet services.
• Recommend products and services based on customer needs.
• Accurately process customer orders and payments.
• Learn and follow carrier requirements and PostNet operating procedures.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional center.

Experience That Gives You an Advantage

Previous experience in a shipping and packaging, print or copy centers, office services, retail customer service, or a similar environment is a plus.

Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is helpful but not required.

A college degree is not required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing and movement throughout the workday and handling customer packages and packing materials.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving packages weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Starting pay is $16.00–$19.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
