Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to lead investigations, manage corrective actions, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering and NPI teams to improve product quality.

This role is based on-site at our Monroe CT or Newtown CT locations, with inter-site travel as needed. The ideal candidate will drive data-driven quality improvements, maintain ISO-based quality systems, and support customer communications and complaint handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with focus on quality discipline.
• Strong background in quality engineering methods and standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify quality improvements.
• Support corrective actions, complaint management, and customer communications.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and NPI teams to improve quality and manufacturing performance.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement 8D corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data and communicate trends and risks to leadership.
• Participate in new product introduction, product transfer, and scale-up activities.
• Maintain the Quality Management System per applicable standards.
• Lead material review board meetings and disposition decisions using customer requirements.
