Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement of the customer experience across Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Home Depot/Lowe's quality engineers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions in manufacturing and plants. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering, experience with Six Sigma/lean, and strong problem-solving and training documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Quality, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Experience with quality initiatives and customer-focused quality improvements.
• Experience with CAPA, SCARs and supplier scorecards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant Quality Managers and Engineers on customer quality issues.
• Develop and implement process control based on customer specs.
• Lead corrective action meetings and drive preventive actions.
• Root cause analysis of quality issues from store returns data.
• Develop SOPs, OPLs, training to sustain corrective actions in plants.
• Support new product launches with quality-focused actions.
