Job summary

Pennex Aluminum Company in Leetonia, OH is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to coordinate the quality management system and act as the Voice of the Customer, linking customers with internal teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement in extruded and fabricated products.

You will lead root cause analysis, CAPA, PPAP, and product inspections, support ISO/IATF requirements, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Operations to reduce defects and strengthen customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field from four-year college or university.
• Five or more years of Quality Engineer experience in Automotive / Manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Automotive toolkit – APQP, FMEA-CP, SPC and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Voice of Customer and primary contact for quality complaints from initiation to resolution.
• Manage internal customer response process to ensure timely containment and corrective actions.
• Oversee CAPA process with external portals and related metrics.
• Lead RMA activities coordinating with Sales, Operations, and shipping.
• Collaborate with suppliers to establish requirements and ensure FTQ.
• Manage sub-supplier quality through audits and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, and onsite at customers.
• Support ISO and IATF audits and QMS compliance tasks.
• Apply Lean tools and statistical methods for problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Support PFMEA and CP updates and lessons learned.
• Assist with PPAP documentation per customer requirements.
