Job summary

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer for an on-site position in Holly, Michigan. This role focuses on supporting customer quality requirements and serves as the key liaison between the customer and internal manufacturing teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of quality engineering experience, including automotive electronics manufacturing. Experience with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, and Six Sigma is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must have current or previous experience working at Toyota.
• 5 years of quality engineering experience with strong quality systems, manufacturing processes, and advanced quality practices.
• 3–5 years of experience within automotive electronics manufacturing.
• Experience managing customer quality requirements, including portals, scorecards, performance metrics, and issue-resolution processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary quality contact for assigned customers and coordinate timely resolution of customer concerns.
• Communicate customer quality requirements and expectations to internal teams.
• Monitor customer scorecards, quality metrics, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support customer audits, quality reviews, and other customer-specific activities.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for product and process concerns.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to address quality risks and prevent recurrence.
• Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other quality activities.
• Maintain quality documentation and support compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on product quality, manufacturing processes, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide quality guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
