Job summary

Align Prod in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Customer Program Manager to own project economics, schedule, and team performance on customer-driven manufacturing programs.

You will run customer meetings, manage budgets and margins, own the release process to meet design and quality standards, and drive schedules from planning through factory acceptance tests, with on-site leadership of engineers and designers in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Project management experience is highly preferred.
• Exposure to mechanical engineering design or processes is a plus, especially in custom/engineer-to-order manufacturing.
• Comfort owning budget, margin, and schedule performance like a P&L owner.
• Experience managing or mentoring engineering/design staff, or readiness to grow into it.
• Ability to work on-site in St. Louis, MO (not remote-eligible).

Responsibilities

• Own project economics — accept or reject each project against scope and margin, and manage total job cost and margin at completion.
• Run customer meetings, own status reporting, and lead post-mortems feeding the next quote and design.
• Own the release process end to end and ensure engineering standards are met on every project.
• Own project schedules and factory acceptance tests, start to finish.
• Be a full-authority manager of your team’s engineers and designers — hiring input, coaching, reviews, and development.
