Job summary

Databricks in Tokyo, Japan, seeks a Solutions Architect (Customer Lake) to guide customers through CDP and marketing data projects, from architectural design to identity resolution and audience activation, deploying agentic CDP workflows and ensuring successful adoption.

You will work with GTM teams across regions, build credibility with CMOs and engineering leaders, run workshops and POC programs, and help shape product direction with field-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in CDP, MarTech, or data engineering with client-facing experience.
• Experience designing data and AI applications for marketing and engagement.
• Strong knowledge of CDP/martech platforms (Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe, Segment).
• Experience with first-party/third-party data, identity graphs, consent signals.
• Proficient in SQL or natural language data definitions (Genie).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Japanese language proficiency mandatory; business-level English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership guiding customers from architecture to deployment.
• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to drive adoption.
• Act as trusted advisor to CMOs and marketing tech leaders.
• Lead workshops, POC execution, and customer-facing collateral.
• Influence product roadmap with field-driven insights.
• Serve as tier-3 escalation for complex challenges.
