Job summary

SageOx in Seattle is hiring its first Forward Deployed Engineer to be the builder at the customer boundary. You’ll live inside customer environments, triage issues, onboard onsite, and translate feedback into shipped value.

This role blends hands-on coding with customer-facing leadership, designing workflows, writing docs, and delivering end-to-end fixes that move quickly from bug to feature. This is an in-person role, five days a week in Seattle, with occasional travel for on-site customer

Qualifications

• Experience migrating toward customers or working as a solutions/support engineer in a dev-tool/infra startup.
• Early-startup exposure strongly preferred.
• Strong written communication to create onboarding materials and digests.
• Ability to ship small features end-to-end from customer report to merged PR.

Responsibilities

• Be the first line of engagement at the customer boundary, triaging issues and projecting fixes.
• Onboard new customers onsite, designing workflows and securing first-value moments.
• Own customer-reported items end-to-end from bug to merged PR in the core product.
• Create reusable value by writing docs, how-tos, and running office hours for customers.
• Own the signal loop with daily/weekly customer digests to guide the team.
