Job summary

First Resonance in Seattle, WA is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) to solve complex customer challenges by delivering tailored software solutions integrated with ION.

You will work directly with customer engineers to design features end-to-end and own delivery from concept to production, ensuring high client satisfaction across aerospace, robotics, and autonomous systems projects.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in CS, Math, Software Eng, Physics, or Data Science.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with customers and teams.
• Experience shipping production-quality code.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a deployed technical expert, providing hands-on assistance with the implementation, usage, and further development of ION.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their most pressing problems to develop coherent strategies and intelligent solutions (build custom web apps, wrangle large-scale data, etc)
• Own the delivery of solutions end-to-end while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Write clean, scalable, and easily maintainable code across the stack.
• Work in small teams, taking ownership of end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
• Collaborate with the First Resonance team to continuously improve the product based on customer feedback and requirements.
