Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Teller to join our Retail Banking team. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and provide referrals for additional services.

You will educate customers on digital tools, ensure accuracy and security, and support branch operations. Travel to nearby branches may be required; hours are 30 per week with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to complete internal teller and product training.
• Willingness to travel for initial and ongoing training; company covers travel expenses.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, professional first point of contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process routine financial transactions: deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with verification of identity and funds.
• Engage customers to understand transactional needs and refer to appropriate teammates for additional services.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Assist with inquiries, escalate complex issues, and support lobby management.
• Answer calls promptly and direct inquiries per bank standards.
