Job summary

United Community Bank is seeking a full-time teller to assist customers with banking transactions and provide exceptional service during banking hours. The role involves handling deposits, withdrawals, and payments, while maintaining accurate records and a positive image of the bank.

The position requires greeting customers, cross-selling bank products, and complying with banking regulations and secrecy acts. Monday–Friday hours with Saturday rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point).
• Experience using Web Teller and check imaging software is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon entry to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Assist customers with financial transactions and provide account information.
• Verify customer information using teller software and assist with inquiries.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and money orders.
• Handle cash accurately and verify endorsements before processing.
• Answer phones promptly and route customers to the correct department.
• Promote bank products and refer services to customers.
• Adhere to cash-handling policies and banking regulations.
