Qualifications

• 6 months cash handling, teller experience or customer service.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal technology systems to perform work tasks.
• Understanding of basic math concepts and cash counting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional demeaner and superior problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow customer relationships through quality, personalized interactions based on excellent service, according to company standards.
• Identify customer needs and make appropriate referrals through excellent service efforts.
• Handle customer transactional needs such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, credit card advances, and other negotiable items.
• Safeguard the bank’s assets and ensure security while processing transactions accurately.
• Balance and maintain a cash drawer with extensive cash handling.
• Assist in managing operational loss and adhere to policies.
• Maintain knowledge of processes, products, and services offered.
• Verify endorsements, IDs, validity, and counterfeit currency.
• Ensure funds availability per regulatory requirements and process holds as needed.
• Greet the public professionally and embody United Bank’s service standards.
• Support in mentoring peers and reinforcing policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable banking laws and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act.
