Qualifications

• One year teller experience required; customer service experience preferred.

• Independence Bank Teller Certification within 6 months.
• Complete Teller Fundamentals and Teller Level Up training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the lobby or drive-thru.
• Process daily transactions: deposits, cashing checks, loan payments.
• Verify signatures, fund availability, and amounts before cashing.
• Explain, promote, and sell cashier’s checks and prepaid gift cards.
• Process services for customers including ordering bank cards and checks.
• Record all transactions promptly and accurately per bank procedures.
• Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and products.
• Balance currency, cash, and checks in cash drawer daily and manage denominations.
