Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of teller experience required; customer service experience preferred
• Independence Bank Teller Certification within 6 months
• Completion of Teller Fundamentals and Teller Level Up training within three (3) months

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers and visitors at lobby or drive-thru
• Processes daily transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cash disbursements
• Cashes checks and verifies signatures and funds availability
• Explains and promotes banking products (cashier's checks, prepaid cards)
• Assists customers with cards, checks, and account inquiries
• Records transactions accurately per bank procedures
• Balances cash drawer and maintains denomination order
• Maintains positive relations with customers and prospects
• May handle bank openings/closings and drive-thru duties
• May float to other locations as needed
