Job summary

G3 Industries | Sussex is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound shipments in a fast-paced machine shop. You will serve as the communication link between the shop floor, CSR, and customers to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive coordination of order status and logistics updates. You will handle packing, documentation, and coordination with carriers, while supporting

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or manufacturing preferred.
Experience in a machine shop or metal fabrication environment is a strong plus.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and shipping software preferred.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, and ship finished goods according to customer specs and standards.
Receive materials, inspect for accuracy and damage, coordinate with purchasing/production.
Maintain records of shipments, receiving logs, and inventory movements.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (where applicable).
Coordinate with carriers for pickups and resolve shipping issues.
Prioritize shipment schedules based on production timelines and customer requirements.
Provide real-time order status updates to CSR and customers.
