Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate at the Cedar Falls Metro Store. You will assist customers, handle register transactions, receive donations, and support loading and unloading.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. May substitute with military service, high school, or related full-time employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for others.
• Must lift, push, or pull fifty pounds with assistance.
• Loyalty to the agency and its mission and policies.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work a flexible schedule at multiple locations evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license if able.
• Ability to use good judgment, discretion, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers immediately upon entering store.
• Sorts and grades all donations and truck shipments to keep stores stocked with high quality merchandise.
• Operates cash register; ensure fast, pleasant transactions.
• Identifies merchandise for online sales and handles per process.
• Marks and stocks new goods merchandise per procedure.
• Greets donors at their car and unloads items; ensures a positive donation experience.
• Donations are distributed to proper area and counted accurately.
• Offers tax receipt form to each donor.
• Maintains store and donation area cleanliness and safety.
• Assists with loading/unloading and basic upkeep.
