Job summary

JCPenney in Lansing, MI is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales at the checkout. You will greet customers, handle returns and purchases, and promote rewards and gift programs while maintaining checkout standards.

You will support omnichannel efforts, assist with inventory tasks, and participate in annual inventories, while adhering to shrink, safety, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales focus with ability to assist customers with credit, rewards and gift card programs.
• Checkout and merchandising standards at all checkouts, with replenishment responsibilities.
• Support Omnichannel efforts, recovery, put-backs and inventory tasks.
• Adhere to shrink control, safety programs, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales - Greets and assists customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Checkout Standards - Completes checkout processes, returns, and re-ticketing; supports signing and merchandising standards.
• General Operations - Assists with Omnichannel, recovery, put backs and stocking; participates in annual inventory processes.
• Performance Standards - Meets company standards for iCAP, sales, service, profit, productivity, and attendance.
