Job summary

JCPenney is seeking a Cashier to enhance the customer service and sales experience at the checkout. You will uphold checkout standards, assist with omnichannel tasks, recovery, and inventory while meeting performance goals related to shrink, safety, and service.

Core responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, supporting signage and merchandising at checkouts, and contributing to annual inventory processes with a proactive, energetic approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail customer service.
• Ability to operate POS and handle checkout processes.
• Assist with omnichannel tasks, recovery and inventory.
• Meet performance standards including shrink/safety and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales - Greets and assists customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Checkout Standards - Processes returns and re-ticketing, supports signing and merchandising standards.
• General Operations - Assists with Omnichannel efforts, recovery, put backs and fitting room upkeep.
• Performance Standards - Supports shrink and safety initiatives and meets iCAP targets.
