Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Loader to support customers and the Pro and Garden Center teams with loading, staging, and order fulfillment.

You will assist customers, locate and move merchandise, operate power equipment safely, and ensure accurate, on-time loading while keeping stock replenished and the store clean and organized. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, teamwork, and reliable communication with colleagues and management to resolve loading requests

Qualifications

• 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
• High school diploma or GED
• 6 Months Retail experience
• 6 Months Experience as a Loader at any home improvement or hardware retailer
• 6 Months Retail merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping
• 6 Months Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service responsibilities as per Lowe’s policy and program execution.
• Assist customers with locating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise, and respond to questions.
• Support checkout, fulfillment, and customer assistance needs throughout the store.
• Pull, stage, and prepare customer and contractor orders accurately and efficiently.
• Use power equipment and store technology safely to move, stage, and load merchandise.
• Maintain in-stock conditions by stocking and replenishing merchandise as needed.
• Support large order fulfillment with product quality and accuracy.
• Collect carts and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Identify and report safety hazards, theft, and security concerns to management/Asset Protection.
• Operate store equipment as needed across departments (e.g., Zebra phone, copiers, CCTV, etc.).
• Communicate stock, product features, warranties, and Lowe’s program information to customers and employees.
• Follow Lowe’s safety policies and procedures including equipment use and safety devices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Support Pro Desk relationships by assisting loading, staging, and order fulfillment for Pro customers.
• Engage Pro customers and maintain presence in Pro loading area to speed service for large orders.
• Build repeat Pro customer relationships and assist enrollment in Pro Rewards and Pro Credit offerings.
• Ensure Pro Standards are maintained in parking lot and under Pro canopy.
• Complete required power equipment and spotter training for safe loading practices.
• Load customer vehicles with proper techniques considering order size and weight.
• Ensure orders are loaded accurately while maintaining product quality and safety.
• Support Garden Center loading operations and large, high-quality orders.
• Partner with Garden Center Supervisor to stage orders for pickup.
