Responsibilities

Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
Enter prescription information into the computer system, including patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
Process new prescriptions and refills, including verification with doctors where permitted by state law.
Retrieve medications from inventory as allowed by state law and create prescription labels.
Place medications into containers and prepare paperwork for prescription fulfillment.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the Pharmacy department and assist in inventory management and restocking.
Assist with inventory processes including order review, returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.
Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
