Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 600 practical hours in retail/pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pharmacy Service Representative duties to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, interpretation and entry, insurance billing and problem resolution.
• Process new and refill prescriptions with required info, including refill authorizations where allowed by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory as permitted by state law.
• Create prescription labels and label containers where permitted by state law.
• Place medications into containers.
• Complete paperwork and input data into the computer system where permitted by law.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the Pharmacy department.
• Assist inventory management: order review, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where state law permits.

Education
