Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to deliver prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. You will perform prescription data entry, patient and prescriber searches, and ensure accurate insurance billing while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative for prompt service.
• Enter prescription information including patient and prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation and entry, and insurance billing.
• Accept patient and prescription information required to process new and refills, including authorization where permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory where permitted by state law.
• Create prescription labels and place medications in containers where permissible by state law.
• Process paperwork and input data into the computer system where permitted by law.
• Maintain a clean and organized Pharmacy department.
• Assist in inventory management and physical inventory preparation.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
