• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily in a retail pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Process prescriptions: computer entry of patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing.
• Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorizations.
• Retrieve medication from inventory as permitted by state law.
• Create prescription labels and place medications into containers.
• Place medication into prescription containers.
• Complete paperwork and input customer and prescription data into the system.
• Assist in maintaining the Pharmacy department and keep it clean and in order.
• Assist in inventory management: order reviews, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids as permitted by state law.
