Job summary

First Community Bancshares, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a friendly Teller to join our retail banking team. Under direct supervision, you will handle cash transactions, advise customers on basic services, and support sales goals in a high-volume environment.

You will process deposits and withdrawals, balance cash, and ensure accuracy while delivering exceptional service to a diverse customer base, including Spanish speakers. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, high school equivalency or currently attending high school.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass background investigation according to company policy.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow established policies in accordance with bank direction.
• Achieve monthly new account production as assigned by upper management.
• Participate in in-store prospecting within an active sales environment.
• Process deposits and pay out funds; balance each day’s transactions accurately.
