Job summary

ShopRite of Cheltenham is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented cashier to deliver excellent customer service at the front end. You will scan, price and bag products, handle payments, and provide accurate change while maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, following safety and QA standards, and supporting team goals. The role requires strong math skills, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to comply with time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment per QA standards.
• Accurately identify and scan products and handle transactions.
• Process all forms of payments according to Company guidelines.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Stand at register and operate cash register efficiently.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Properly bag customer orders safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and company policies.
